It is with deep respect that we share the news of the passing of Mr. Timothy J. Ward, U.S. Army Special Forces Veteran, Green Beret, Airborne Paratrooper, Medic (MOS 18D), and a proud member of the Guardians Honor Guard at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
Mr. Ward served our nation with distinction from 1968 to 1971, and later continued that service here on our grounds through his dedicated role in the Honor Guard. He helped ensure that our veterans were honored with dignity, military tradition, and final respects. He was known for his quiet strength, professionalism, and his humble but passionate commitment to honoring those who served.
He was laid to rest here at Washington Crossing National Cemetery on November 19th, among the very veterans he honored and stood beside.
On behalf of the Honor Guard, the Guardians of the National Cemetery, and Washington Crossing National Cemetery staff and volunteers, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, his fellow Guardians, and all who had the privilege of serving alongside him. His presence, dedication, and example will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Please keep his loved ones and his Honor Guard family in your thoughts during this time.
